National Portrait Gallery director to speak in Burlingame Jan. 26

VIP tickets go on sale Jan. 6 and general admission tickets offered Jan. 13

Kim Sajet, director of the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, will appear at the Burlingame Public Library on Sunday, January 26. She will discuss the Gallery’s mission and collection and will introduce Hugo Crosthwaite, the first-prize winner of the 2019 Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition.

The Gallery's collection includes any famous portraits, including the recent one of First Lady Michelle Obama.

Tickets will only be available online at BurlingameLibraryFoundation.org. A limited number of VIP tickets at $95 will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 6, and general admission tickets at $35 will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 13. VIP tickets include a private reception with Sajet and reserved seating.
