The Nueva School presents Oliver! the Musical November 20-22

The Nueva Middle School Musical Theatre Academy presents the beloved Oliver!, based upon Dicken’s novel, Oliver Twist and adapted by Lionel Bart. A musical for all ages, Oliver! tells of a young, orphaned Oliver Twist as he navigate’s London’s underworld of pickpockets and thieves, searching for a home. Oliver is picked up by a local gang of pickpockets let by the cunning Fagin. When Oliver is falsely accused of a theft, he is rescued by the wealthy and kind, Mr. Brownlow, much to the chagrin of Fagin’s violent henchman, Bill Sykes. Though under Syke’s thumb, the kind-hearted Nancy attempts to help Oliver but ultimately meets a tragic end. With timeless songs including “Pick a Pocket or Two,” “Food, Glorious Food,” and “Where Is Love,” the musical is full of music, dancing and great story telling.
