Peninsula Bicyclist Hit, Killed by Car
The accident happened at Page Mill Road and Christopher Lane in an unincorporated area of Santa Clara County.
A bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision with a Volkswagen Golf early Tuesday morning near Palo Alto, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident was reported at around 6:50 a.m. near the intersection of Page Mill Road and Christopher Lane in unincorporated Santa Clara County, according to the CHP.

The Santa Clara County Coroner’s office was called to the area at around 7:30 a.m. and pronounced the victim dead at around 8:20 a.m.
The CHP is handling traffic control in the area and a coroner’s investigator has been called to the scene.

The name of the victim has not been released.
It is not known at this time if drug or alcohol was a factor in the accident.
