Peninsula Bowling Alley Shooting: Recognize This Man or Vehicle? Attempted Murder Suspect Sought

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo police continue to ask for the public's help with finding a man who is suspected of trying to kill another outside a local bowling alley. And now, they have some images for you to review.

The shooting happened late Friday night, around 10 p.m. outside Bel Mateo Bowl at 4330 Olympic Way, according to police. A 24-year-old Redwood City man was shot multiple times for unknown reasons, though police believe he was targeted. As of Wednesday, he remained hospitalized.

"The victim is currently in stable condition and recovering," police said in a statement.

After several days of investigation, police were able to compile a suspect composite sketch, which is attached above. Investigators described the suspect as a Hispanic man between 25 and 30 years old standing 5 feet 6 inches tall with an average build and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He had a mustache and beard and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt that night.

They were also able to obtain surveillance footage from the bowling alley of the vehicle, which is described as a 2000s green Mercedes-Benz 4-door C230 or C240 with a sunroof, rear tinted windows and paper license plates.
