The Pros and Cons of Gray Water and Rainwater

Free program about alternative water systems on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 7 p.m., Lane Room, Burlingame Public Library, 480 Primrose Road.

Learn how much water and money you can save by recycling water from wash basins, showers and baths or collecting rainwater. Tom Bressan of The Urban Farmer Store will explain why these alternative water systems are growing in use and which work best for different people’s needs. He is contributing a rainwater barrel valued at $120 that will be raffled off during this event. His presentation will be followed by a Q&A period led by Burlingame Mayor Michael Brownrigg.

This program is presented by the Citizens Environmental Council - Burlingame (CEC) and is sponsored by the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency. CEC is presenting other free environmental programs on Oct. 1 and Nov. 5. A flyer with details is available at http://tinyurl.com/lwg7eox.

CEC welcomes new members. For more information, visit www.burlingamecec.org.
