Police say dozens of vehicles were stopped in the special one-night operation.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol in an eight-hour long DUI saturation patrol on Friday, police have announced.
According to Burlingame Police Sgt. Jim Ford, the operation was held on Friday, beginning at 6 p.m., in the cities of Belmont and Burlingame.
"High visibility DUI enforcement efforts have a deterrent effect lowering the incidents of impaired driving and will continue thanks to special funding for extra officers to patrol for this deadly crime," Ford said in a news release. "These patrols are part of the San Mateo County Police Chiefs and Sheriff Association’s ongoing collaborative OTS funded STEP program, which aims to improve traffic safety on the Peninsula."
