Shop the Sidewalk Sale
Burlingame businesses take their shops to the sidewalks Friday and Saturday.

The Downtown Burlingame Business Improvement District (DBID) is hosting a two day sidewalk sale, Friday and Saturday, throughout downtown Burlingame.
DBID chair Dale Ferrel said that the small businesses in the association look forward to the sidewalk sale because it enables business owners to get to know their customers.
"The sidewalk sale builds a sense of community among business owners," said Ferrel. "It makes for a festive event, almost a street fair kind of feel and you meet your neighbors."
According to Ferrel, the twice annual sidewalk sale, one in spring and another in fall, has been observed on Burlingame Avenue for close to 20 years.
This year marks the first time that the DBID, formed in September, will play host to the event.
after much collaboration among local businesses, several on Burlingame Avenue, and Burlingame City Council.
Over 20 businesses, most members of the DBID, will participate in this sidewalk sale.
Participating businesses can be found on Burlingame Avenue, Broadway and all throughout the downtown area - just look for merchants set up outside their storefronts.
Promotions will vary from business to business, but expect to see some bargains, said Ferrel.
