Stolen Mini-Van from Oakland Recovered in Millbrae, Local Man Arrested

Diego Salazar, 29, was arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property. He was found in the stolen van.

Deputies arrested in a man in Millbrae on suspicion of auto theft early Thursday morning and recovered a mini-van that was stolen.

At around 1 a.m., San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputies noticed suspicious mini-van parked near the Chevron Gas Station, 320. E. Millbrae Ave. The van did not have any license plate Identification.

As the deputies approached the van, they saw the steering wheel had been tampered with and found a man sitting i the back seat.

A record check revealed the mini-van was stolen in Oakland a few days ago.

Deputies arrested Diego Salazar, 29, of Millbrae on suspicion of receiving stolen property. He was booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility in Redwood City.
