Students Invited to Film Workshop

2nd annual Film Fest open to entries through March 6

Students planning to enter a video in the CEC Student Film Fest and their parents are invited to learn tips on creating videos at a free Film Workshop from 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 2. Snacks will be provided.

The 2nd annual Film Fest will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on March 19 at Burlingame High School, 1 Mangini Way, Burlingame. Students in grades 4 through 12 who live or attend school in San Mateo County are eligible to enter videos in the festival.

Students who wish to enter the Film Fest should submit an original video, not more than five minutes in length, on the environmental topic of their choice by March 6, 2019. The final entries will be screened and winners will be announced at the Film Fest, which is open to the general public. Admission is free.

The Film Fest is cosponsored by the Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame (CEC) and the Burlingame Environmental Club of Burlingame High School. CEC is providing cash prizes that will be awarded to student filmmakers in three categories: grades 4-5 ($100), grades 6-8 ($150) and high school ($350).
