Tesla to Open Burlingame Showroom

Tesla Motors is accelerating up the Peninsula to Burlingame, with a showroom planned for later this year. It will replace the electric automaker's current showroom in Menlo Park.

"I can't speak to a specific date that our Burlingame store will open but it will be timed with the closing of our Menlo Park store, sometime this summer," Tesla spokeswoman Alexis Georgeson told Palo Alto Online.

The Menlo Park store is one of that city's top 25 tax generators, although an exact figure is not readily available.

Tesla also recently opened a showroom on Santana Row in San Jose.
