Water-Wise Irrigation and Landscaping
Master Gardener takes the mystery out of installing water-efficient sprinklers and choosing the right plants

Master Gardener Julie Montanari will explain how to change a conventional irrigation system into one that saves water and money, and she’ll offers tips on selecting water-wise plants, rain water storage and gray water. Sigalle Michael, Sustainability Coordinator for the City of Burlingame, will invite residents to sign up for a new program that offers free sprinkler heads that use up to 30 percent less water than traditional ones.
All attendees will be invited to participate in a free raffle. Those who walk, bike, use public transportation or share a ride to the program will be eligible for an additional drawing. Refreshments will be served.
This program is presented by the Citizens Environmental Council of Burlingame (CEC) and is co-sponsored by the City of Burlingame, the Burlingame Public Library and the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency. It will take place in the Burlingame Public Library at 480 Primrose Road, Burlingame. Admission is free. To learn more about CEC, visit http://cecburlingame.org/.
