What's the Most Popular Pastry at Le Croissant Cafe?
Find out what your Burlingame neighbors have been buying most consistently at the cafe, and a little more about this place you may have passed before.
Nestled on the side of Broadway Ave., Le Croissant Cafe sees a variety of local customers – many of whom share a sweet tooth for one particular pastry.
Winky Vang, store owner, said the most popular pastry at Le Croissant Cafe is the orange morning bun, pictured above.
Priced at $2.50, it is among her own favorites, as well as one of the most sold items at the cafe, which just opened last November.
I couldn't resist trying it myself, and the orange morning bun is delicious: sugary flakes surround orange, twangy flavor. The orange flavor is prominent yet subtle.
Vang and her husband Kevin have worked together for 10 years, but this is their first restaurant, she says, smiling as she hands a customer a pastry.
Le Croissant Cafe is open every day of the week, with varying hours. They offer various lunch specials as well as pastries and drinks.
As Vang waves and says goodbye to her customers by name, you can tell the cafe is a true community spot, complete with Burlingame charm.
