Wind Advisory: Gusty Conditions Could Impact Burlingame Commuters Thursday

Winds could reach 30 mph, with gusts of 45 mph in lower elevations of the San Francisco Bay Area starting Thursday morning.

BURLINGAME, CA - The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area that will be in effect Thursday from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, another storm system will sweep through the Bay Area late Wednesday night and Thursday, bringing gusty southerly winds.

Winds could reach 30 mph, with gusts of 45 mph in lower elevations. Gusts could reach 60 mph in locations above 2,000 feet.

Gusty winds will make driving difficult and could result in downed trees and power outages, NWS officials said.

Wednesday will be rainy with highs near 60. South winds will be between 10 and 20 mph. The chance of rain will continue in the evening.
