Woman Punched, Robbed By Another Woman On The Peninsula: Police

BREAKING: Police say the woman was out walking when the random assault and theft happened.

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Police are looking for a woman who randomly attacked another woman in South San Francisco this week, stealing her phone in the process, authorities say. It happened as the victim was walking on a stairwell from Alta Loma Drive to El Camino Real around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday.

"Without provocation, the suspect punched the victim, stole her cell phone and fled the area on foot," police said in a news release.

The suspect, who took off running after the theft, was described as a black woman with a "husky build" who is roughly 19 years old and 5 feet 4 inches tall, police said. She was wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt at the time of the robbery.
