Calabasas Earns Award for Accounting and Financial Reporting

According to an association, your local tax dollars are in good hands.

The City of Calabasas announces:

For the tenth consecutive year, the City of Calabasas and its Chief Financial Officer Dr. Gary J. Lysik have been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the City’s Comprehensive Annual Financial Report. The Certificate of Achievement is the Association’s ultimate form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.

An impartial panel judged that Calabasas’ report met the highest standards of financial reporting, demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” that clearly communicates the City’s financial story.

“Once again, Calabasas has been recognized for holding the highest standards of accounting and transparency,” said Calabasas Mayor Lucy Martin. “Everyone at the City is very proud of CFO Dr. Gary Lysik and his entire staff for their outstanding work.”

The GFOA is a non-profit professional association serving approximately 17,500 government financial professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
