All are Welcome: Singles, Couples, and Dancers With or Without Partners. Zeldin-Hershenson Hall is located at Stephen S. Wise Temple, 15500 Stephen S. Wise Drive, LA 90077 (please scroll down for directions).
Zeldin-Hershenson Hall has a beautiful comfy cozy ambience with a huge dance floor; mixers and ice breakers perfect for mingling; and dance hosts excellent for inspiration.
These lauded Social Circle singles events began 15 years ago. There have been 80 dances in all. John Seeman has been hosting them on his own for the past ten.
John loves “Seeing people having a good time; Seeing a man and woman meeting for the first time; seeing them both smiling and content; Seeing people greet friends they haven’t seen in a while. I’m happy in general when I feel folks are enjoying themselves.”
He also finds pleasure in welcoming guests as they arrive and seeing old and new faces. For John, “It feels like a real community of friendly, supportive people.”
John looks forward to working with volunteers who have given so much of their time to providing a great experience; Dancing to some good old rock n’ roll; and doing whatever’s necessary to make sure everyone’s having a wonderful time.
“To make sure you get your money’s worth,” is John’s mission, which is why, “Everything is included: Live Band, Complete Dinner, Dessert, Wine, Beer, Soft Drinks… Plenty of free parking.”
Neither John nor the many volunteers receive any money. Admission all goes to food, band, decorations, room rental, etc. He reveals, “We are completely self sufficient.”
John encourages you to “Give us a try. If you’re not happy with your experience, I will refund your money, no questions asked.”
The minimal admission is well worth its weight in gold, considering you can’t put a price on love!!
Reservations aren’t necessary. Just pay at the door. Contact John at 310-204-1240 or johnseeman@aol.com.
The DONALD DEAN DANCE BAND is regarded as the best and most versatile dance band in Southern California, performing many genres of dance songs from the 1950’s through today. The line-up is DONALD DEAN Lead Vocals/Guitar , VANNESSA Lead Vocals/Percussion/DJ/Bass, STEFANO ASHBRIDGE Drums/Vocals.
The Donald Dean Band performed every Saturday night at the historic Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, CA from 2003 thru December 28th 2008, when it closed for renovation.
Frontman Dean believes that "nowadays there are few places where single people can meet and have fun dancing in a safe environment without the pressure of having to buy alcohol."
Donald credits John Seeman for the success and uniqueness of the Stephen Wise Dances. "John always organizes them with professionalism and loving care. I am proud to call him a friend. Playing the hit’s of the 50’s 60’s and 70’s is a blast, because it was the greatest time period for dance. We love to see people dancing and having fun!"
Dean says "the key to keeping and finding the love you deserve is Patience and Perseverance...Also Luck!"
All songs from Donald Dean's first solo album “Nightshift” are available on I Tunes, as well many online sites. The CD is considered a classic in Europe and Japan and is one of the all-time best sellers in the Melodic Rock genre in CD Baby's history. A used copy of the CD has been on sale on EBay for over $100.
