A Truly Grassroots Effort: Alicia Weintraub for Calabasas City Council!
"One of the most qualified and talented candidates (Alicia Weintraub) to ever run for Calabasas City Council!" - Mayor Pro Tem Bozajian
Dear Friends,
I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day weekend. I am happy to report that the campaign is going strong. I have already started precinct walking, which gives me a great opportunity to talk with many Calabasas residents. I have had great discussions on a wide variety of issues! I am proud to say that I have been receiving a very positive response.
We had over 150 people attend our campaign kickoff event a few weeks ago. It was very moving for me to see such a wide cross section of Calabasas residents in attendance, including Founding Council members Bob Hill and Mayor Emeritus Dennis Washburn, as well as a number of Savvy Seniors, families, and young children.

I am honored to have the endorsement of so many leaders of our community, including Calabasas Council members Fred Gaines and David Shapiro and Mayor Pro Tem James Bozajian; Mayor Emeritus Dennis Washburn; Founding Council member Bob Hill and Past Council member Jonathan Wolfson; several City Commissioners and HOA Leaders; and the Parent Faculty Club/Association (PFC/PFA) Presidents of Bay Laurel Elementary School, Chaparral Elementary School, AC Stelle Middle School, and Calabasas High School. I am especially pleased that all five current Las Virgenes Unified School District Board members are supporting my candidacy-- current President Cindy Iser and Board members Jill Gaines, Angela Cutbill, Dallas Lawrence, and Lesli Stein. New endorsements are coming in every day, and I would be very appreciative to add your name to our endorsement list if we do not already have it.
My goal is to engage as many residents as possible in my campaign for Calabasas City Council-- a truly positive grassroots effort. Whether you have requested a yard sign, told your friends about my background and experience, or offered to host a coffee or fundraiser, I want to thank you for all of your help and support thus far.

The election is less than 60 days away on November 3, 2015, with ballots by mail becoming available even sooner on October 5, 2015. There is still a lot of work that needs to be done. Please continue to tell your friends about my candidacy and encourage all of your friends to register to vote if they have not done so already; please proudly display a yard sign; please tweet us at @AliciaWeintraub and use #Alicia4Council; please like us on Facebook, and please consider joining us on a precinct walk in your neighborhood. I am very proud of what I have already accomplished on behalf of our city, from my service as an Environmental Commissioner, to my work on behalf of our children and our schools, to my current appointment as Vice Chair of the Planning Commission. With my background in Public Policy and economic development, I will ensure that our Council is always fiscally responsible. With my love of our community and its natural beauty, I will safeguard our current open space and see about obtaining even more. If elected, I pledge that every day I will continue devoting time and energy to keeping our city strong, safe, and making it even better for my children and yours.
I look forward to seeing you as I continue to meet our neighbors through walks, coffees, and political forums.
