Visitor Center Hosts Plein Air Art Show
The National Park Service will be hosting this year's Allied Artists Plein Art Show at the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center

From the National Park Service: The National Park Service will be hosting this year’s Allied Artists Plein Art Show at the Santa Monica Mountains Interagency Visitor Center on Saturday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
"As plein air artists, we are excited for park visitors to catch the energy where art and nature combine, " states Marnie Piuze of Allied Artists. "The show will offer a variety of paintings in an outdoor setting and there'll also be the opportunity to explore the visitor center and grounds, or go for a hike. Plus, there'll be free children's crafts offered - there will be something for everyone!"
This all-day event will include original works in oil, pastel and watercolor from local artists from around the Santa Monica Mountains. Portions of funds will be donated to preservation of the environment and continuing arts in the park.
