1 Dead After Car Crashes Into Credit Union On Curtner Avenue

BREAKING: A second individual was injured and transported to a hospital.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – A person was killed when a car crashed into a San Jose credit union after a collision late this morning, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle inside Alliance Credit Union at 265 Curtner Ave. around 11:45 a.m., police said.

An initial investigation showed two cars collided into one another before one of them swerved into the building, where one person was struck and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A second person was transported to a hospital, but police didn't know the severity of their injuries.

Both drivers stayed at the scene and have cooperated with the investigation, police said.

Westbound Curtner Avenue is closed between Little Orchard Street and Communications Hill Boulevard. Lanes are expected to stay blocked for several hours for the investigation, according to police.
