Art Contest Underway For Utility Boxes; $500 Stipend To Winner

The Town of Los Gatos is inviting artists from Bay Area to submit design proposals.

LOS GATOS, CA – The Town of Los Gatos is inviting artists to submit environmentally-themed designs for Phase 2 of its Utility Box Art Program, the Parks and Public Works Department announced.

The winning designs will be turned into vinyl wraps and installed on utility boxes around town. Selected artists will get a $500 stipend for their participation, according to town officials.

Interested artists can fill out an application online to be considered.

How to Apply

The application outlines the following:
1. Design concept - Briefly explain your design concept(s) for each box
2. Resume
3. Digital examples of previous work
4. Design(s) - Each applicant can submit up to three sample designs.
5. Affirmative representation that the artist owns all copyright rights without restriction or
infringement on any third party rights to the artwork submitted for consideration.

The application deadline is Friday, Dec. 2.
