Boyfriend Killed San Jose Woman, Suspect Found Dead In Crash: Police
The man fled the scene before officers found the deceased victim, authorities said.
SAN JOSE, CA — A man suspected of killing his girlfriend was later found dead in a crash, San Jose police said Monday.
Just after 8 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a home in the 2300 block of Arden Way for a possible death. Inside the residence, they found a dead woman who they determined was the victim of a homicide.
Homicide detectives identified the victim's boyfriend as the primary suspect and found that he fled San Jose in a vehicle. Police later found that he was involved in a crash and died.

It wasn't immediately clear where or when the suspect got into a crash or when he died.
"The motive and circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation," the SJPD said late Monday morning. "The suspect will be named at a later date."

The Santa Clara County Coroner's Office will release the victim's identity after confirming it and notifying the next of kin.
The incident marked the city's sixth homicide of 2024, police said.
