Bundtzen Named Campbell USD's New Asst. Supt. Of Human Resources
The Campbell resident's new role in the district was announced Friday.

From Campbell Union School District: Lena Bundtzen has been named Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for preschool-through-eighth-grade Campbell Union School District. She will oversee all aspects of the District’s personnel services, employee relations, and employee group negotiations. Her goal is to foster a district-wide culture where all are encouraged to learn, grow, and advance.
“It’s a culture where everyone is an asset and brings the best education to students,” she says.
With an education career that spans more than 25 years, Bundtzen brings a wide range of experience to the position. She has taught elementary, middle and high school as both a special education teacher and a general education teacher. She has been a Coach, Dean, Principal, Program Specialist and Director of Special Education. Prior to coming to Campbell Union School District, she was Executive Director in neighboring Campbell Union High School District.

Bundtzen has earned several awards, including Los Angeles Unified School District Teacher of the Year 2000, the 2013 Campbell Women of Distinction, and the 2014 Special Education Administrator of the Year award from the Association of California School Administrators. She holds degrees in Sociology, Education and Administration from California State University, Northridge.
She looks forward to working closely with all school-community members to provide our children the best educational opportunities and guidance to reach their full potential.

In her spare time, she enjoys travel, swimming, hiking and painting. She lives in Campbell, with her husband, Dave and their English Bulldog.
