Coronavirus: Winchester Mystery House Closes Through March

The iconic, tourist destination in San Jose will be shut to guests until April 1, and this weekend's flashlight tours are postponed.

SAN JOSE, CA — The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose is closing through the end of the month due to coronavirus concerns, and this weekend's Flashlight Tours, planned for Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th, are postponed until May, property managers said today.

"In accordance with the State of California's health officials’ recommendations, in an abundance of caution and for the safety and well-being of its visitors and staff, Winchester Mystery House announced today that it will be closed until April 1," officials said.

This weekend's Flashlight Tours, scheduled March 13 and 14, are rescheduled for May 15-16, 2020.

Winchester staff did ask current ticket holders to refrain from calling the box office, "as ticket inquiries will be processed as quickly as possible via the website."
