The female is suffering major injuries and is stuck in her car, police said.

Rescue crews this morning are trying to extricate a woman who has been stuck in a car since Monday after it went about 500 yards down a ravine on Mt. Hamilton in Santa Clara County, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
The car went off Mt. Hamilton Road at some point Monday and remained missing overnight, CHP spokesman Officer Ross Lee said.
CHP officers and Santa Clara County sheriff’s deputies searched for the vehicle and eventually found it around 5:30 a.m. today down a ravine, Lee said.
