Nov. 8 Election: Corrected Argument Against Campbell Union H.S. District Measure AA Coming In Mail
The voter information sent by Santa Clara County was incorrect. [Breaking]

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – Santa Clara County Registrar of Voters officials will be mailing or emailing a corrected argument against Measure AA to all registered voters in the Campbell Union High School District because the argument initially sent was incorrect.
The mailing or email will go out next week about the measure, a $275 million bond proposal to improve high schools in the district.
The Campbell Union High School District Board of Trustees voted to place the measure on the November 2016 ballot. To pass, it will need to be supported by 55 percent of voters, and all registered voters in the Campbell High School District are eligible.

Election officials will send a corrected copy of the argument against Measure AA as well as those in favor and the rebuttals to the measure. Emails will go out to voters who opted to receive a paperless sample ballot and voter information pamphlet.
The argument against Measure AA that was printed in materials that already went out was filed by an individual voter. However, state law requires that an argument filed by a citizen's group be given preference.
A clerical error is the reason the wrong argument was printed, according to election officials.

About 110,850 pamphlets are affected. The error does not affect any official ballots, which do not contain arguments for or against measures.
The corrected argument will be available inside paper copies of pamphlets that will be available at early voting centers and at Election Day polling places. The correction will also be posted to pamphlets available
online at www.sccvote.org and through the SCCVOTE mobile app.
