Officer Wounded, Suspected Gunman Killed In Bay Area Shooting Spree: Reports

SAN JOSE, CA — An armed carjacking in the Bay Area ended with an officer hospitalized and a gunman dead, according to multiple news reports.
The suspect was accused of using a weapon to rob a Corvette from a dealership along 900 Capital Expressway in San Jose sometime before 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to a report from KTVU.
The suspect led police on a pursuit towards Hollister, then abandoned the vehicle and exchanged gunfire with officers, according to a SFGate report.

Witnesses described the scene to SF Gate reporters as being "straight out of a GTA game," referring to the video game Grand Theft Auto.
The suspect then stole another vehicle and led officers on a pursuit back to San Jose, according to multiple news reports.
