The stalled bill would have tightened how police use and share plate data, amid growing concerns about surveillance, misidentification, and data misuse across California.
   

• Gilroy chicken joint earns $5k grant from PG&E partnership (gilroydispatch.com) — A Campbell favorite, City Pizza, has landed a $5,000 grant through PG&E's Restaurants Care Resilience Fund, alongside other small eateries across Santa Clara County. The money can go toward equipment, training, or staff bonuses, helping neighborhood spots like City Pizza stay competitive as big chains expand nearby.
