Kaiser Permanente awards $1-million to Silicon Valley health organizations

32 Silicon Valley community health groups to share $1-million Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit awards

Thirty two Santa Clara County community groups providing program services in health care access, mental health, healthy eating and activity, and violence prevention will receive more than $1 million in Community Benefit grants from Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara and San Jose.

“At Kaiser Permanente, we believe in prevention for all members of our community regardless of age,” said Chris Boyd, Senior Vice President and Area Manager of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. “It’s our Total Health perspective that allows us to impact change beyond our hospital walls.”

Each year, Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit grants are awarded to local non-profit organizations working on programs and projects that align with Kaiser Permanente’s health mission and focus on four specific health priorities: access to health care, behavioral health, healthy eating/active living, and violence prevention.
