Man, 63, Arrested For Allegedly Brandishing Gun In Watsonville
Accusations of a stolen bike may have started the incident.

Police in Watsonville arrested a man Monday, after an officer witnessed the man pointing a handgun at another man.
At 10:05 a.m., police were dispatched to an area near the corner of Union and E. Front Streets regarding a report of man with a gun, police said.
When officers arrived to the area, they saw a man run towards the Pajaro River from the top of the Levee, near the bridge over the river, according to police.

Officer set up a perimeter around the riverbed to catch the suspect. As one officer drove up onto the levee, the officer observed the man pointing a black handgun at another man who was holding his hands up above his shoulders, according to police.
Both men were about 15 feet away from each other. The officer parked his patrol vehicle and confronted the man with the handgun, police said. The officer held the suspect at gunpoint while other officers made their way to assist, according to police.

The suspect discarded the gun at the sight of the officer standing with his gun drawn, police said. Police arrested the suspect, identified as 63-year-old Alvin Cruseturner, according to police.
Officers located the discarded gun and identified it as an all black BB gun.
The victim did not sustain any injuries as a result of the confrontation, according to police. The initial investigation concluded that the reason for the confrontation between the two men was due to a possible stolen bicycle, police said.
Cruseturner was charged with exhibiting a firearm and booked into county jail, according to police.
