• Trash Service Now Required Countywide, With Fines Starting Nov. 1 (slvpost.com) — If you live in unincorporated areas near Capitola, you must either sign up for GreenWaste trash service or register as a self-hauler by November 1 or face escalating fines. Capitola residents are exempt because the rules only cover properties outside city limits, but nearby county neighbors should review their options and possible exemptions now.
