RESULTS: Best Pizza in Capitola-Soquel
Where is the best slice in town? Depends on who's talking!

Round Table Pizza won the Patch poll for best pizza throughout Capitola and Soquel—with a few caveats.
One, it wasn’t a scientific study. Two, only six people responded. And three, pizza chains were omitted from the voting list. Who knows? Maybe more voters would have picked Round Table if it had been on the list.
in Capitola-Soquel is at 2690 41st Ave., by Home Depot. There was another Round Table on Portola Drive, but that's now Mountain Mike’s.

Tiffany, first to respond to the favorite-pizza poll, wrote in the comments, “Actually, my favorite is really Round Table Pizza.”
Another aficionado, Lori Hannum, described Round Table this way: “Best pizza and best service. Best lunchtime buffet, too.”

Matt pointed out, “You should have included all the chains, as Round Table has a lot of fans.”
And Hannum, adding to that thought, wrote that Round Table may be a chain restaurant, "but the food is made by local hands!”
Other votes? They went to a few more not on our list: Whole Foods Market, 1710 41st St., and Caesar’s Etc. at the Capitola Mall.
Pleasure Pizza, as Matt mentioned, isn’t technically in Capitola. That part of 41st Avenue is in Capitola’s sphere of influence, but it's really Live Oak, with a Santa Cruz address.
Pizza My Heart, which has two restaurants in Capitola—in the Village and on 41st—got just one vote. But that vote gets five stars for its enthusiastic comment: “My kids have known for years that my perfect Mother's Day is to be taken for a romp through Capitola Village,” Anna Marie DeSoto wrote, “and to top off my perfect day, to be taken to Pizza My Heart for the best pizza in LIFE!!”
So there you have it. Enjoy your pizza, Capitola-Soquel!
