Carlsbad-Based Business Hot Dog on a Stick Opens First Drive-Thru

Breakfast items will include French toast sticks, hash browns and sausage on a stick.

Established in 1946 in Southern California, Hot Dog on a Stick is based in Carlsbad and now has more than 100 restaurants in 12 states, .

Patch has reached out to the company to find out if drive-thru locations or expanded menus are coming to Carlsbad and/or the San Diego area. The company wrote back, "Hot Dog on a Stick may introduce additional drive-thrus and expand the breakfast menu to other locations down the road, but currently there is no definite timeline. Utah’s site is a pilot program. At a local level this year, Hot Dog on a Stick unveiled a “Party Pack” catering menu and a new watermelon lemonade flavor for the quarter."
