Carlsbad To Host Guided Hike On National Trails Day
City staff will lead hikers along the Rancho Carrillo Trail, starting from Leo Carrillo Historic Ranch.

CARLSBAD, CA — The city of Carlsbad is hosting a guided hike Saturday in celebration of National Trails Day. City staff will lead hikers along the Rancho Carrillo Trail, starting from Leo Carrillo Historic Ranch.
The roughly 4-mile trail is divided by Melrose Drive into two routes, one on each side of Melrose Drive. The trail to the east of Melrose connects to the San Marcos trail system in the open space corridor at Carlsbad's eastern border. The trail west of Melrose connects with the trails of Bressi Ranch, The Greens, and Alga Norte Community Park.
The guided hike is scheduled from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park at 6200 Flying Leo Carrillo Lane.
