Carlsbad 'Night at the Library' Honors Schulman Contributions on His 99th Birthday
Ben Schulman, whose late wife's name adorns the city's auditorium, was the guest of honor.

CARLSBAD, CA — The Carlsbad Library and Arts Foundation held a "Night at the Museum"-themed charity event Sept. 17 to not only raise funds to support the city's library and arts facilities and programs for children, teens and adults, but to honor Ben Schulman, a longtime patron of the library and World War II veteran, on his 99th birthday.
The "Night at the Library" celebration included live music and entertainment all over the library campus, including in the Ruby G. Schulman Auditorium named for Mr. Schulman's late wife, inside the library itself and in the children's garden.
Dinner and dancing in the Dove Library were one of the many highlights of the evening.
