Carlsbad Patch Video Up for CNN Award

Carlsbad Patch's video on  has been selected as one of 30 videos for the first-ever CNN iReport awards. 

The video titled, "Therapy Cat Performs Miracles" is in the original reporting category competing against four other videos. The competition is stiff and a panel of judges will determine the winner. 

CNN writes that the video shares the "heartwarming story of an adopted cat with a special gift. Nancy Denen and her husband adopted Moorea from a local shelter—but soon found out the abandoned cat had the power to soothe people. Moorea became a therapy cat, bringing joy to hospice patients and those suffering from brain injuries."
