Next Saturday, April 12th 2014, the city of Carlsbad has organized 2 hikes to explore the Lake Calavera preserve. The first hike is 3 miles long and will start at 8:30am. It will cross the new boardwalks built to keep boots and bikes off the sensitive wetlands. The second hike, also 3 miles long, will leave at 10:30am and explore the west side of the preserve as well as Mount Calavera. Community events like these, that promote physical activity as well as environmental awareness, are yet another reason why residents love living in Carlsbad. Find your Calavera Hills home here.
