As composer of the multi-platinum Eagles hits, “Peaceful Easy Feeling” and “Already Gone”, both of which are on THE EAGLES: THEIR GREATEST HITS 1971-1975, songwriter Jack Tempchin is considered to be a co-architect of The Southern California Sound. Tempchin has been a contributor on multiple multi-platinum Eagles cuts, including “Somebody” and “It’s Your World Now” which are both featured on The Eagles’ LONG ROAD OUT OF EDEN, and “The Girl From Yesterday” which was featured on The Eagles’ HELL FREEZES OVER reunion CD.
Throughout the 1980s with Glenn Frey, Tempchin co-wrote a dozen Top 40 radio singles including “True Love”, “The One You Love”, “Partytown”, “Lovers Moon”, “Sexy Girl”, “I Found Someone”, “Livin’ Right”, “Soul Searchin”, “You Belong To The City”, “Smugglers Blues”(both for Miami Vice), “Part of Me Part of You” (for Thelma & Louise). Famously, Johnny Rivers took Tempchin’s solely composed, “Slow Dancing (Swaying to the Music)” to the Top 10 in 1977. Jack Tempchin songs have been performed and/or recorded by legendary artists including George James, Emmylou Harris, Glen Campbell, Tanya Tucker, Trisha Yearwood, and countless others. Tempchin has even been sampled by high profile rappers Coolio & Jay-Z.

2012 marked the 40th anniversary of Peaceful Easy Feeling having been released as a single by The Eagles. In celebration, Jack released his own CD/DVD JACK TEMPCHIN LIVE AT TALES FROM THE TAVERN.
