More than 100,000 people are expected to take part in this annual event sponsored by the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. According to organizers, the Carlsbad Village Street Faire is the largest single-day street fair in the nation.
Festival highlights include music and entertainment, children's activities, the Rotary's beer and wine garden, dozens of food booths and more than 900 vendors jewelry to home decor and more.
The Kiwanis Club of Carlsbad will hold its annual pancake breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon at the railroad depot. The Rotary's beer and wine garden will feature live bands and large-screen TV. A children's area offers games, a super slide, a bounce house, a rock climbing wall, face painting, and arts and crafts.

Free shuttles will pick up and drop off fairgoers at the Poinsettia Coaster Station and the northwest corner of Sears at Westfield Plaza Camino Real,2525 El Camino Real, Carlsbad.
