Event: Fashion that Heals

Game, set, match! “Fashion that Heals” presented by Saks Fifth Avenue of South Coast Plaza takes center court on Thursday, July 19 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad. This is the first year for the event, which is being hosted by Tri-City Hospital Foundation in conjunction with the Mercury Insurance Open to benefit women’s health programs at Tri-City Medical Center.

The fashionable affair will feature a cocktail reception, silent auction and runway show showcasing designer looks from Saks Fifth Avenue. In addition, the event will include a special presentation on the prevention, early detection and treatment of disease through the use of global healing traditions by Dr. Mimi Guarneri, renowned cardiologist and national leader in the field of integrative medicine.

“Women are the backbone of our families and our communities, and when they need medical treatment, they deserve the best in terms of facilities, equipment and personnel,” said Tobi Ferguson, president of Tri-City Hospital Foundation. “From our world-class staff and physicians to our leading edge-technology to the unparalleled programs offered at our Wellness Center, our approach to women’s health at Tri-City will always be in fashion.”
