Light Up a Life Memorial

Hospice of the North Coast (HNC) is having a memorial service for people who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

The event, called "Light Up A Life," is free and open to the public. The memorial is at the Oceanside Museum of Art (OMA).

Keynote speaker Sy Brenner, an 89-year-old World War II veteran who survived and transcended his experience as a prisoner of war, will be at the service.

There will also be a candle-lighting ceremony, during which each attendee can celebrate the memory of a loved one, uplifting music will be presented by a noted gospel singer and a guitarist.

Light refreshments will be served.
