The Museum of Making Music welcomes organist and silent film musician Bob Salisbury for a special event celebrating the music of silent film. Salisbury will musically accompany the classic 1924 silent film production of James M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, performing on a Roland Atelier AT-900 Organ generously provided by Rodgers Instruments Corporation/Roland Corporation.
With Betty Bronson starring as the boy who never grew up, Peter Pan ingeniously captures the mysteries and adventures of childhood. This memorable adaptation of the classic story features delightful cast, remarkable special effects by Ray Pomeroy and photography by James Wong Howe.
Salisbury has played the organ for more than 45 years, and has professional experience playing silent movies and concerts. The American Theater Organ Society honored him with a national award in 2010.
