Plays by Young Writers to be Performed in San Diego

Five winning works from the California Young Playwrights Contest will be performed.

The winners are: Trevor, by Ben Kelly, 18, of Carlsbad; Next Train to Nowhere, by Kelsey Bavencoff, 18, of Santee; Russet, by Kira Nolan, 11, of Encinitas, and the Spirits of the Bells, by Kaylin Jeanne Greisen and Sydney Yockey, both 11 and of San Diego.

Performances: 10 a.m., April 1 and 5-8; 7:30 p.m., April 2-3 and 8-9, and 2 p.m., April 9-10.

Admission: $9-$20, $50 on opening night.
