Special Screening of 'The Wrecking Crew'

The Museum of Making Music will host a special screening of “The Wrecking Crew,” a documentary film showcasing a legendary group of session musicians during the 1960s.

Session musicians provide the instrumental background for countless artists, often not achieving the notoriety of soloists or bandleaders. Members of the Wrecking Crew backed dozens of popular musicians throughout the early to mid 1960s, including the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, The Mamas & the Papas, Sonny and Cher, and were Phil Spector’s Wall of Sound.

Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m., the Museum of Making Music welcomes filmmaker Denny Tedesco, who is the son of legendary session guitarist and Wrecking Crew member Tommy Tedesco, at its Carlsbad location (5790 Armada Drive) to present a special viewing of his film “The Wrecking Crew.” Famed session keyboardist Don Randi will accompany Tedesco.
