Explore the Star Wars Galaxy at Carlsbad City Library

The force will be with you on Friday, April 20, when Carlsbad City Library teams with DK Publishing for the 2012 Star Wars Attack of the Authors West Coast Tour. This free event for all ages begins at 3:30 p.m. and will be held at Carlsbad City Library, 1775 Dove Lane.

This April, DK began a 10-city tour of the major cities on the West Coast featuring special appearances by authors, the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion and R2 Builders Club, activities and photo opportunities.

Author Jason Fry will be visiting Carlsbad City Library to talk about and sign his New York Times best-selling books, which include Star Wars: Secret Life of Droids, Star Wars: Clone Wars Visual Guide, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars Character Encyclopedia. He has also written extensively for the Star Wars Insider magazine. Fry lives in New York and is described as living with “about a metric ton of Star Wars stuff.” Barnes & Noble Oceanside will be providing books for sale at the event.

DK began organizing Star Wars-related tours featuring its authors two years ago. They have collaborated with Lucasfilm for more than a decade to produce Star Wars-inspired books for children and adults.
