SAN DIEGO, CA — The U.S. Postal Service is seeking automotive technicians in San Diego and will host two hiring events to help applicants learn about available positions and complete the application process.

USPS is hiring automotive technicians to work at its main processing facility in San Diego. The position includes performing maintenance and repairs on postal vehicles, diagnosing mechanical problems using computerized testing equipment, and conducting vehicle inspections.

The position requires an examination, according to USPS. The starting annual salary is $66,836.

The job fairs are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 28 and June 4 at the Margaret L. Sellers Processing Plant at 11251 Rancho Carmel Drive in San Diego.

Applicants must have a valid state driver's license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger vehicles or larger. The driving experience must have taken place in the U.S., its territories or possessions, or on U.S. military installations worldwide.
