Legoland California To Shut Down Due To Coronavirus

Carlsbad-based Legoland announced it would close the main park, water park and Sea Life aquarium through the end of the month.

CARLSBAD, CA — Legoland California will temporarily shut down amid the new coronavirus outbreak.

Carlsbad-based Legoland announced it would close the main park, water park and Sea Life aquarium from Saturday through March 31. Legoland Hotel, however, will remain open.

"The health and safety of our guests and our staff is always our top priority and we are continuing to implement preventive measures in line with the recommendations of the CDC guidelines," the announcement said.

Employees will continue to work on site as scheduled, according to Legoland.

SeaWorld San Diego and the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park have also announced closures.
