Man Dies From Injuries Weeks After North County Shooting
No arrests have been made in the case.
VISTA, CA — A man who was shot last month in San Diego's North County has died, authorities said.
Frank Martinez, 21, was shot while walking around 8:30 p.m. April 13 in the 300 block of S. Santa Fe Avenue in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. He was taken to a hospital, where he died Monday from his injuries.
No arrests have been made in the case, sheriff's Lt. Michael Krugh said.

"The San Diego Sheriff's Homicide Unit will be assuming the investigation, which was being handled by Vista Street Narcotics and Gang detectives," Krugh said.
