Man Fatally Struck By Sprinter Train In North County
The deadly collision happened between Vista Village Drive and Guajome Street in Vista, authorities said.
VISTA, CA — A man was hit and killed by a train Sunday morning in northern San Diego County, authorities said.
The deadly collision happened just before 5 a.m. near mile post marker 109.5 on North County Transit District train tracks that travel from Oceanside Transit Center to the Escondido Transit Center, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
The man was hit by a NCTD Sprinter train between Vista Village Drive and Guajome Street in Vista, sheriff's Sgt. Jason King said. He died at the scene.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the man and determine the cause and manner of his death, King said.
