2 Killed By Trains In Separate Collisions In San Diego's North County
The deadly train collisions happened in Camp Pendleton and Vista.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Two pedestrians were fatally struck by trains in two separate train collisions over the weekend in northern San Diego County.
A Burlington Northern Santa Fe train fatally struck a man just before 2:20 a.m. Saturday in Camp Pendleton. Military police and Camp Pendleton fire personnel responded, but the man died at the scene, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.
A North County Transit District Sprinter train fatally struck a man shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday between Vista Village Drive and Guajome Street in Vista, sheriff's Sgt. Jason King said. Sheriff's deputies from the Vista Patrol Station and fire personnel responded, but the man died at the scene.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office will identify both men and determine the cause and manner of their deaths, King said.
