Man, Woman Arrested For Retail Theft Spree In North County

SAN MARCOS, CA — A man and a woman were arrested for a series of retail thefts in San Diego's North County, authorities said Friday.

John Michael Mastrobuono, 49, and Jenise Christine Mastrobuono, 45, were served with an arrest warrant Wednesday in the 100 block of La Casa Drive in San Marcos, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

"This was the result of an investigation into thefts at numerous retail stores in the North County and across Southern California," Sgt. Brent Longfellow said.

During the search, deputies recovered nearly $200,000 worth of stolen merchandise, including wine and champagne, Longfellow said. They were both arrested on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy.
